Old dog's recycled toy.

Taking a break from my break (I'm currently eating a big ass bowl of apple pie right now), I decided to discuss the revamp of the 'cross bike for the new year. I found a newer CAADX frame online, sized it up, and pulled the trigger.

I chose the candy pedals, because I wanted to simplify my setup. All my bikes have Crank Brothers pedals now. Carbon fork and aluminum frame one size smaller than I was riding. Turns out I was on a bike too large for my size. Ordered the 60" frame as usual, but the cross geometry is a tad different than the road bikes. Couldn't send it back. The new frame is a 58" and feels fine.
BTW I'm 6'2", so I have always had a big bike. Always pissed me off when the roadies would compare weight of their bike, and mine was always heavier no matter what parts I used. My Salsa is still 17 lbs. after 8 or so years. Size 60, and 17 lb. with saddle and pedals. Scandium frame.....but I digress.
I am hoping the cross bike gets some use this winter, and have all the intentions in the world to stay off the trainer and hit the streets.
