Update on "Pearl", 1-31-2021
Just a little update on Pearl. She has been gutted of all cabinetry, flooring, and insulation between the floor and the belly pan. This is the ugly part of the process; smelly, ugly, and time-consuming. We have already purchased the outrigger parts for the frame repair. We will address the axles at some point during the frame repair process. This is a luxury decision (repair or replace) that is well worth the peace of mind to know the axles are good to handle any length trip. We are building our camper the way we would want it, not to resell. This gives us the ability to make personal decisions that fit our needs. I think having to stick within the confines of originality greatly restricts creativity and increases the costs associated with getting it back on the road. These pictures are of the gutting and some of the frame repair needs.
